Hurricane Helene has delayed the launch of Crew-9. Russia's Soyuz returned home Monday bringing to Earth Oleg Kononenko who now holds the record for most experienced space-flier. The cosmonaut was in command aboard the ISS and has passed that responsibility off to American Suni Williams. A snowman (or peanut) shaped asteroid narrowly missed Earth on a fly-by. The Perseverance rover captured a strange image on Mars of a striped rock, the first of its kind spotted on Mars. And astronomers have discovered a 23 million light-years long jet blasted from a supermassive black hole 7.5 billion years ago.

New evidence suggests that a huge asteroid slammed into Ganymede and altered its surface. Bloeing has finally gotten its big win with a successful launch of Starliner that is on its way to the ISS. SpaceX congratulated Boeing while planning a Thursday launch of their own massive rocket. Starliner delays launch again but hopes for a June 2 launch now. SpaceX is continues to launch successfully with the latest launch for the NRO. Ed Dwight wasn't given a chance to go to space 60 years ago but has now taken a trip aboard a Blue Origin rocket and become t he oldest person to ever go to space. NASA's oldest active astronaut will go back to the ISS for a 6 month mission at 69 years old. Juno has given us some new looks at Europa and Euclid has given us five brand new looks of the universe.

A sunspot like the one that caused the aurora could be a major problem for our electric grid in the future. Starliner has another launch delay to no sooner than May 21. A Soyuz launch scheduled to travel to the ISS was scrubbed twenty seconds before liftoff. SpaceX plans to launch later today with cargo for the ISS. A new study says that dying stars could move the habitable zone in their solar systems and melt ice down to liquid water and it could last long enough for life to emerge.
