Once released from the hospital, Emeline and Finn say goodbye to Hades.

Emeline didn't think she'd have anyone to come back to, but then again, she didn't think she was going to make it back at all. Though she, Finn, and Amaranth are still wrestling with the aftermath of their most deadly performance, for once, there's hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Together, this time.

Emeline is back, but the reason why remains a mystery. Is her return worth it at all?

With Lucy-Sibyl now trapped and out of the way, Emeline and Hades set about finding a way to safely unbind. If only things stayed that simple.

Overwhelmed with how empty her life really is, Emeline handles her affairs. 

Bondage and break-ups typically don't go together, but in this case, it's absolutely necessary.

Running away from a girl is typically not the best way to break up with her, but when she's hell-bent on controlling your entire life, sometimes you don't have any other choice. Emeline narrowly escapes Lucy-Sibyl and makes her way to the café. She's got some downtime before Hades arrives, enough to question if she's really worth keeping alive, or if she's just a burden to everyone around her. In the end, she's got a choice to make, and it's not an easy one. 

It never is.

Emeline and Lucy-Sibyl are living happily ever after, away from the rest of the world. Time no longer exists, pain is but a distant memory, and everything will be fine as long as you play by the rules.

Emeline and the demons return home with their new pet, ready to begin the ritual. However, Amaranth is still shaken from what happened before, so Emeline goes to comfort her. Comfort turns to something it shouldn’t, lines are shattered, and Lucy-Sibyl stakes her claim once and for all.

Jealousy's a bitch.

Hades explains why murder is okay, under the right circumstances, and everyone learns a little more about how demon powers are chosen. Also, Lucy-Sibyl and Emeline take the phrase, "burning love", a little too literally.

Leave unsaid unspoken… or, you know, you could talk like the adults you actually are. The book has chosen Lucy as its newest pursuit, which means she’s now part of this whole demon-human bond mess. Since fate insists on keeping them together, she and Emeline finally have the conversation that’s been long overdue.

Turns out the book is much closer than everyone thought it was. It's chosen Lucy as its next victim, which means Emeline has to get it back from her before it's too late. Of course, that brings to question as to why it's chosen Lucy at all...

It seems that the ghosts of the past continue to haunt the present. Meet Hades -- a dead man walking and Finn's Faustian bond. Father and son, but it's all wrong. To Finn, Hades is merely a means to an end. While Hades can hunt down the summoning book, getting it to stay put is another matter altogether...

Emeline begins to question her bond with Lucy-Sibyl and what "made for each other" really means. Though she's afraid of what she'll find, she needs to know what's behind the curtain, and why Lucy-Sibyl wants to protect her from it. 

Turns out Emeline and Finn have more in common than they realise — specifically, a pair of matching Faustian bargains. Lucy-Sibyl, threatened by Finn's evident hatred of her kind, unveils her powers for the first time to protect what's hers. 

Emeline finally comes clean to Finn with what happened between her and Lucy all those years ago. Finn, surprisingly, sheds some light on the situation and paints a more accurate portrait of the enigma that is Lucy Hansen. Things aren't what they seem, and now that night means something else entirely.

Finn and Emeline finally have a chance to actually reconnect, though that may mean reopening past wounds. However, old habits die hard, and Emeline can't help but continue to be evasive at every turn. It would be easy to tell him the truth, if the truth didn't make her sound insane.

Also known as the romantic masquerade episode. Emeline and Lucy-Sibyl attend their first real soirée with Finn and Lucy. However, when Finn calls for a partner swap during the waltz, Emeline and Lucy are once again trapped with each other. They handle it the same way they handle everything else — excessively dancing around their feelings until someone breaks. Because that always works.

What is it with coffee and breakups? Is it even a breakup if you were never together? Emeline and Lucy meet up to “talk”, but it’s clear that these two are incapable of keeping anything casual.

In which Emeline is a complete and utter bottom... oh, and the long awaited reunion commences. Finn just wants everyone to get along, Lucy-Sibyl doesn't quite understand what's happening, and Lucy is just trying to pretend that nothing happened. However, seeing Lucy again only brings all those memories back for Emeline, and it turns out that forgive and forget is easier said than done.

The illusion enters into the fray of reality. Emeline and Lucy-Sibyl finally venture out together from their little safe haven to meet Finn for coffee. It’s only meant to be a quick “hello, goodbye”, but Finn clearly has other ideas.

Emeline (Leiana Bertrand) has officially taken falling in love with the idea of a person too far. Like, opening a portal to Hell too far. It all started with a fateful performance of The Picture of Dorian Gray…
