For too long I've heard the saying (not scripture) "Spare the rod, Spoil the child" as the "Biblical" justification for spanking. Is this justification acceptable? What do the major Mega Ministries have to say about spanking? What about renowned American New Testament Scholar, Reformed Theologian, pastor and chancellor John Piper, what about Focus on the Family?
