Aññā hi lābhūpanisā,
aññā nibbānagāminī.
Evametaṃ abhiññāya,
bhikkhu buddhassa sāvako,

One is the quest for worldly gain,
and quite another is the path to Nibbana.
Clearly understanding this,

be carried away by worldly acclaim,
