As we look further into the life of Elijah we learn how pivotal it is to be confident and bold in the face of darkness. This darkness messes with our personal lives--in our marriages, our kids, our health and more. We as the church are planted in the middle of a broken world to fight against this darkness victoriously.

This sermon reminds us that prayer should be our first response, not a last resort—it’s meant to be a regular part of our lives, not just something we turn to when we’re desperate. It also shows that we’re not meant to do life or faith alone—we need each other’s prayers, support, and honesty to grow and heal. Lastly, it challenges us to care deeply for those who have drifted away from God, and to do whatever it takes to help bring them back.

As we look at part of Elijah's story we see how brooks and ravens can show us reasons why God sometimes seem to pause or hide us in seasons. It becomes less about “having" faith and more about becoming a person "of" faith.

What do we do when the promise hasn’t arrived yet? When we’re trusting God but still wrestling with reality. James 5:7–11 gives us a blueprint for what to do in the meantime of our seasons — how to stay patient, how to stay grounded, and how to remember that God is not just watching us wait — He’s working in the waiting.

As we follow Jesus through the gospels we see that Jesus changed everything for many people--the leper, the thief on the cross, the Samaritan woman and many more. He still continues to change everything for us today through the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus' triumphal entry was a statement to the world of the coming King. When Christ came as our King, He did so in a way that was unexpected by the religious leaders of the time. Their example is a lesson for us today in how we should interact with our King.

Are we to be people who make plans? In James it shows the believer how we are to not go off of personal preference or worldly wisdom but acknowledge God in our plans. We have a great responsibility to always lean into obedience and walk with the Lord’s voice leading our path.

As God's people, we must engage with the world around us. We have the answer and antidote to what ails humanity, and our call is to share that truth with the people in our lives. It all starts with asking God to use us to do exactly that.

Tonight's study of James looks at how humility and pride affects the believer's life.  We should live with a high sense of personal accountability, and we must proactively resist the enemy in these areas of our lives. 

As we dive deeper into James, we see that our place is not to judge others. Loving others the way Jesus asks us to is our responsibility versus serving judgement.

What is the tithe? Is it Biblical? How should we respond to it? In today's sermon we dive deeper into our relationship with God and money. Generosity is key to Christian living, and this is how you can implement it in your life!

Think you know about giving and generosity from a Biblical perspective? Today's sermon may challenge some assumptions we have about giving as it pertains to the church. God has called us to be generous, and His principles in the word help us understand how to honor Him with our giving!

The key to speaking life or death over those around you, whether family or in your community, is your identity in Christ. Our identity in Christ means that you become weapons and defenders for your home, your children, your family, your work space, for this church and for the house of God.

One of the greatest forces that God has given us is found in the tongue. This instrument is inconsistent, however it is also a point of possibility. May we utilize our tongue to be people of blessing and kingdom expansion.

Hear from the inspiring story of missionary Bobby Clayton and his family who dared to dream to reach the lost in Mongolia. It's about obedience and faith in response to the dreams God has called us too. It's about daring to dream.

There is one specific way that the world will know that we follow Christ, and that He is our Lord. It isn't how charitable we are, or how much money we give... It's in how we love one another that we show we are His disciples. Here's how!

This week we dove into Hebrews to look at the importance and benefits of gathering together. We gather so that we can stir one another out of stagnancy, so that we are provoked to action, so we are incited in our missions against darkness.

We must be careful in the church to not have favorites. In James chapter two, we are warned about offering favoritism to people. As a part of the church, we are called to a higher calling in how we treat people we interact with. We are part of the kingdom of God, and James shows us how to live our lives honoring God's heart.

As we continue our Midweek series in James, we focus in on James 1:19-27. If we want to see spiritual victory, it starts with aligning our hearts fully with God. How do we get to a place where our hearts are aligned with God? Through transformed living. James shows us how!

The final part of the story of Isaiah culminates with a call to all people. It's the call each of us as Christians have from God each and every day. The Lord is looking for willing people. That when God asks, "Who will go?" we would answer, "send me!"

In Isaiah this week we dive into recognizing that this is a time of humbling and repentance. Jesus is the coal, taken from the altar of sacrifice, that cleanses us of our sins. And, we will be a people with the posture of humility, contrition, tenderheartedness, and repentance because our God is Holy.

In Isaiah’s vision of heaven, he watches as strange, angelic beings proclaim a declaration to the Lord. Their response and song is an example of how we too should respond to God’s greatness, holiness, and glory.

Temptation is all around us. Where does it come from? How can we combat it? As we continue our series in James, we look at how temptation affects us, and how we can combat it effectively.

In Isaiah's description of what he saw in Isaiah 6, he adds an interesting descriptor. He tells us about how the train of God's robe fills the temple. What was significant about this detail? The answer to that stirs our faith for our victorious our God is, and how we too can be victorious in Him!

The prophet Isaiah had a profound encounter with God in Isaiah chapter 6. Within the first few words of his encounter is deep truth of who God is, and who He should be in our lives. Who is on the throne of your heart? Have you surrendered it to God? Learn how!

David was about to face off against the Philistine army. In that moment, He seeks for favor from God for victory. What breakthrough and victory do you need in your life? The lessons from David's battle with the Philistines can help us know how to approach the battles in our lives, and how to find victory when we need it most!

In Week 2 of our MIDWEEK series on the book of James, we look deeper into the next section of James 1. In these verses, the writer reminds us the importance of asking God for wisdom, and for having endurance through troubles. The end result? Triumph in the Lord.

This is the start of our Wednesday series diving deeper into the book of James. The opening of this book reminds us to have joy in every circumstance. Yet, when difficulty hits us, it's hard to find joy in the middle of a negative situation. We can truly discover joy in any trouble we face, but it takes applying the principles in James.
