On this episode, the boys had Joey Whelan back on the pod after his epic run at CIM! He did what he said he would do and went for the win, going solo from pretty much the start of the race! He had a gap of over 80 seconds at one point from the chase group.


He made it to about 800m to go when he was passed but held on for 2nd place and a huge 3 minute PR, running 2:09! He broke down the entire race for us on this podcast and previewed what's next...

On this episode, the boys had on Joseph Whelan! Joseph just came off of winning the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon in 2:12 during a 100 mile training week.


Joseph's ultimate goal this fall/winter is CIM, where the US Marathon Championships are being hosted. He is hoping to go for a podium spot and run 2:09-2:10 at CIM!


At age 35, Joseph is having his best year of marathoning so far. Being able to focus on training full-time and upping his mileage have proven to be very beneficial for him.

On the women's side, freshman phenom Jane Hedengren almost completed a perfect freshman season, but ultimately got 2nd to Alabama superstar Doris Lemngole. NC State edged BYU in a close team race!

On this episode, the boys had on special guest Gabi Rooker! Gabi is a 2:24 marathoner and just finished 9th at the Chicago Marathon.


Gabi had a unique route to professional running. She was a NCAA champion gymnast, and her first marathon was in 2021, where she ran a 2:56 at Grandma's Marathon.


In 2022, also at Grandma's, she ran 2:34 and qualified for the Olympic Trials. In 2023, she ran 2:24 at Chicago and ended up signing a Nike contract before the 2024 Olympic Trials.

On this episode, the boys had on special guest Phil Gore. Phil recently won the Dead Cow Gully Backyard Ultra in a world record of 119 loops, which is about 500 miles/800km of running over 5 days.
