I'd hoped to pull together a Christmas episode for last week, but just ran out of time. We'll be taking a break for the next two weeks, so it's time to catch up with a random discusion on con life and our observations in the fna circles. This was recorded as an early experiment for the show - sound quality may be a bit sketchy, but it's a great foundation for where Maddie and matt come from!

This is an early episode that just got lost in the chaos of trying to launch the podcast. We're headed out on the convention circuit as we talk about Cleveland Concoction and the Toledo edition of Fantasticon!

We finally hit the mystery track in the movie box of doom! It's a genre Maddie's been avoiding for a while now, but Matt has a sneaking suspicion that if she gets the right one, she just might like it. That's where Hercule Poirot comes in!

This week we talk about Five nights at Freddys! But not the game....not even the movie...

We're talking about THE MUSICAL! A Youtube produced full length feature and then some! Matt is a casual who only played the first game but Maddie is a fanatic, and this is JUST the thing for her!

Now if only Sparky the cat would get out of the way....

Who would have thought Maddie would have so much to say about a Batman movie? Theater kid thoughts abound as we wrap up our discussion of the third Batman movie.

Is Batman Forever the worst Batman movie? Or are the Schumacher entries unfarly maligned? Maddie and Matthew examine over the top villians, new casting and how this film relates to the previous two Burton films.

Now that Maddie is grown, it's been a while since Matt had to look into the dead eyes of a CGI cartoon, but there just might be more to Zootopia than meets the eye!

It's part three of the original Romero trilogy! We find ourselves on more familiar ground as the darkest day humanity has ever known begins. Maddie and Matthew watch DAY of the DEAD!

We return to the Night! Argo City kicks off with a discussion of wether Ben or Cooper are right about how to defend the house against the zombie onslaught. Time to dive further into George Romero's debut.

We go back to where it all began. George Romero's night of the Living Dead. Maddie saw it when she was a kid, but it's been long enough that it's just a fuzzy memory. Time to experiance the genesis of Zombie movies as an adult...and discuss where it all came from.

We return to Akron Library's Geekfest! It's an all-ages, multi-fandom con with a heavy anime influence (but still one of the few places I can bring out a Star Trek costume too!) and one of out favorites.

Con season continues!

It was a busy week after Fantastic Four. Maddie and I catch up on Immortal Fest, Anime Fest and the How to train your Dragon book series. More importantly, we discuss side quests - possibly the most important part of any roadtrip!

We're a day late this week, that way I could include the weekend box ffice in Maddie and my discussion of Fantastic Four First Steps!

We wrap up our discussion on Superman with some of the mor cutesy aspects like Krypto, and some of the less cutys aspects like politics and ethics. What's our final verdict? Find out here!
