I’m AJ Jones. Twice, a massive widowmaker heart attack nearly ended my life. Twice, I walked away with more than just a second chance. And twice I had to rethink everything. After a 20+ year career with firms like Schwab, BlackRock, and Wells Fargo, my cardiologist told me to retire. Instead, I doubled down on a new mission: to help people stop living on autopilot and start redefining what’s possible. Or put another way, with all due respect to my cardiologist I have unfinished business.

Most self-help advice is guesswork dressed up as wisdom. We dig into psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral science to find what actually changes lives.
WHY LISTEN?
Over 8 million downloads because we answer the questions that matter: How do I build mental strength? What creates lasting motivation? How can I understand my own mind well enough to work with it, not against it?
This podcast is for curious skeptics who want frameworks backed by psychology studies, not Instagram quotes. Whether you're navigating procrastination, building self-discipline, or designing your own philosophy for a life well lived—we explore the hidden psychology behind real change.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
Mental models and simple techniques from cognitive psychology, positive psychology, and ancient wisdom traditions like Stoicism and Buddhism.
Being a human can be confusing, learning about it doesn’t have to be.
We cover everything from emotional intelligence and habit formation to brain health and the nervous system.
WHAT YOU DON’T GET
No pseudoscience. No oversimplified "hacks." No hustle porn.
Just practical insights on mindset improvement, self-development, and human psychology that respect your intelligence and mental health.
THE APPROACH
Instead of telling you what to think, we explore how thinking works. Armed with psychology studies, social science research, and relentless curiosity, we uncover the mechanics of belief change, attitude change, and personal development.
Success is personal. You might want to leverage your neurodiverse strengths, build a business, or simply discover how to be happier. We provide the mental frameworks to pursue your definition of success with mental strength and self-care that fits your life.
YOUR HOST
I'm Sam Webster Harris—a lifelong learner with ADHD and an obsession with finding answers to hard questions. After launching businesses, traveling the world, and nearly dying a few times, I concluded that psychology and science are where real wisdom lives.
This show is my excuse to dive deep into health and fitness research, behavioral psychology, and cool science while helping you build genuine self-discipline and motivation.

The Story in My Head is a podcast about healing, self-improvement and self-care for the lazy. It's a raw and meandering journey through the stories in my head that create fear, plant obstacles and disable me from living the life I want. This is NOT your average self-help podcast. It is not polished and refined and presented as a recipe for healthy living. Rather its an honest sharing of the stories that feed my dark spaces, the consequences of my storytelling, and the ways I'm working to re-write the narrative. I think most of us tell stories in our heads that we fear will be judged if we share. I want to explore the stories that make us uncomfortable including ones about depression, anxiety, conflict, self-esteem, sex, relationships, death, addiction, parenting, adulting. This list goes on and on. These are the issues I struggle with and I don't think I'm alone, yet most people don't want to talk about them. WTF? The Story in My Head podcast, hosted by me...Amy. Where my guests and I talk honestly about things that make us uncomfortable. We will share our stories, our experiences and the nuggets we gather along the way. You might laugh a little. You may cry a little. I suspect you will be able to relate. Nonetheless, it will be shameless entertainment. If you like Unf*ck Your Brain, Help Me Be Me, Unlocking Us, The Mel Robbins Podcast, On Purpose with Jay Shetty, Terrible Thanks for Asking, Therapy for Black Girls, Goop, The Happiness Lab, and Happier then you may enjoy The Story in My Head. Most Self-Improved is a personal growth podcast that releases new episodes every other Thursday, or Thersday! Unless that's annoying, then let's just keep moving!
Show hosts Erin Jensen and Bhavana Chilukuri are friends who met in a comedy class in 2019, which they'd enrolled in after being dumped. They quickly bonded over the shared habit of dreaming bold dreams and wanting to go after them. Quite candidly and humorously they'll admit to you that they don't have it allll figured out, but they are certainly trying!
In each episode, Bhavana and Erin will talk to an expert (typically in the wellness space) to help answer questions that they, along with their fellow Millennial women, are curious about: “How do I make friends as a thirty-something?” “Do I really need a 25-step skincare routine?” “How do I truly know if I want kids?”

Hosted by Dr. Christopher K. Slaton. The Brain’s Body Podcast responds to the hidden physical, mental, and emotional causes of growing up hurt by major life events in home, school, neighborhood, and workplace networks that affect the way you live, learn, think, and respond. That sets up the goal of the Brain’s Body Podcast, to discuss the needs of children, parents, teachers, and health and human service professionals using human systems science. Human systems science is the study of brain, body, and sense events. This is help, to explain the natural process flow for the experience of mental, physical, and emotional health. The brain is the body. The Brain’s Body is a Learning System. This is process learning. Dr. Christopher K. Slaton is an author who talks to the brain, not the body. Learn why a sense of feel for self and the brain in the lead of the body is a necessary experience. With more than 30 years of experience studying the home, school, neighborhood, and workplace networks of children, parents, teachers, and health and human service professionals he explains how you help to improve sense and receive path functions. As you are learning how to help move energy, action, and feelings through your sense and receive path functions, you study ways to manage and control the flow through a sense, feel, and focus process cycle. This is level one of the Brain’s Body Learning System.Dr. Slaton Live discusses the infrastructure for personal, academic, social, and occupational success through the way you may choose to live in a home; learn in a school; think in a neighborhood; and respond in a workplace as test sites of the Brain’s Body Learning System. Help restore your sense and receive path functions. You want to master how you learn to live in a home; to help you master how you learn to learn in a school; to help you master how you learn to think in a neighborhood; to help you master how you learn to respond in a workplace. In other words, at level one: you may learn how to lead a family; how to apply your education; how to participate in government; and how to develop your business through the Brain’s Body Learning System. Dr. Christopher K. Slaton is the author of Education and Science: The Brain's Body, Help to Improve Brain, Body, and Sense Events.
